Paintball for Parents

Team sports are one of the best experiences you can give your kids. The lessons your kids learn will help them throughout their lives. Probably the best part is that you learn all these things without even realizing it because you’re having so much fun.

My dad always tells our team that paintball is a metaphor for life. I’m a nineteen year old paintball player that has travelled all over the USA and been to Europe twice to play a sport I have dedicated myself to for the past four years.

Here is a sample of the life lessons your son or daughter can learn:

  • Teamwork
  • Self confidence
  • Hard work
  • Perseverance
  • Competitiveness
  • Motivation
  • Focus and concentration
  • Mental toughness
  • Balance of school work and paintball
  • Willingness to learn
  • Leadership

Our team basically practiced nearly every weekend throughout high school. Wanting to play paintball all the time was a great motivator for me to do my jobs around the house and take care of business at school. My dad knew how to apply pressure if I slipped up in school so we had a simple understanding. Get good grades, stay out of trouble and I could practice every weekend.

Remember! Your kids are going to have life long memories from their youth. The only question is whether you are going to make those memories with them?!!

How to make memories?

Try playing… your adrenaline will thank you.

Hire a local paintball photographer to take pictures. A seasoned photographer will make great memories. It’s the least expensive part of paintball but will last the longest. I can provide recommendations!

Learn how to fill pods.

Learn the lingo. It will improve the experience. “ The guy shot his mirror, wrapped and shot the dorito and then he ran the wire and bunkered out the snake… and then he got torched!” Learn how to chart the breakouts. Film the games.
